Kellie Loder

Kellie Loder is a dynamic new artist from Newfoundland and Labrador, Canada. Since a young age, music has been a passion in Kellie’s life, as she’s immersed in all aspects of it – both as a listener and a performer.
Since the age of 16, Kellie has been song writing, and using it as a way of communicating some of her deepest longings and thoughts. She’s allowed herself to be transparent to those around her by presenting a riveting message through beautiful melodies and engaging lyrics.
In 2007, Kellie made the most important and life-changing decision a person can make, by dedicating her life to Jesus Christ. Immediately she realized she was no longer writing for an audience of herself and people around her – but rather for all of Heaven, as music now also became a form of worship to a great creator who spoke these talents into existence in the first place.
From there, Kellie’s way of song writing also changed. She tells the story of her experience writing her first song for a new reason.
“I couldn’t get anywhere with it – nothing was working out. Then one day, I sat down at a piano. I had never played piano before, but as I sat there, God showed me where to put my fingers – and from there the song flowed”
The song that was the eventual end result of that experience was called “Giants” and can be heard on Kellie’s Debut album release “The Way.” Recording a full album of original songs is something every songwriter/artist would love to accomplish. For Kellie it was a long process and journey, but with the help of Sweet Music Studios and Producer Devin Robinson, it became a reality. The Way was released in August 2009, and contains eleven original songs from Kellie – each song with a different story, a little piece of herself tucked in there, but most of all every song is an anthem of praise to God – the only reason any of this is happening.
After the release of The Way, Kellie went on to enter the YC Newfoundland and Labrador Talent search – a province wide competition for Christian artists and song writers. After making it to the final three, Kellie performed Giants at YC 2009 in Gander in front of 2500 people. She eventually went on to win the competition, and an opportunity to record her sophomore album in the future.
For now, Kellie is happy to continue on with whatever God has in store for her. She’s determined that whatever doors open up, she’s willing to walk through them and trust God for what comes next.
